About Angus
Angus Mackie is a professional forester who has lived and worked extensively in the Highlands of Scotland during the last 30 years.
My interests include photography, mountaineering, skiing and sailing. I am also a qualified Summer Mountain Leader and a member of Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team.
The photographs in the galleries are reproduced from high resolution digital photographs. For historical interest, I have included a number of scanned images from slide film where I judged that these would complement the aims of the website.
With lenses ranging from 10mm to over 400mm, there is a wide range of perspectives portrayed on the site.
I specialise in panoramic photography, following some exciting developments. During 2009 I was commissioned by the BBC to produce a number of panoramic images from the summits of Scottish mountains. This commission consolidated my expertise in panoramic photography and interactive media.
I have also photographed and produced a number of Audio Visual presentations covering the Highlands and Islands. As I develop digital Audio Visual techniques further, I hope to add streamed AV sequences into this website in the future.
